Youngs – Winter warmer

WP_20161202_20_20_21_ProWhat do they say? Nothing on their website, however this was on www.tastingbeers.com:

Nose
Very subdued. Malt and gentle chocolate.
Palate
Bittersweet. Smoothly malty with faint chocolate notes. Peppery, tangy hop. Caramel and pleasant barley flavours. Just a hint of cherry.
Finish
Dry, malty and yet mostly bitter. A little plain chocolate. Hops continue.

I thought it was a bit fruitier than the taster here reckons – but all our palates differ I guess. Nonetheless it was enjoyable enough but didn’t taste as strong as it’s 5.0% A.B.V. might suggest.
